Kobe Bryant Jokes That His Lakers Teammates Don’t Know Who Abraham Lincoln Is

The Los Angeles Lakers need to brush up on their history, according to Kobe Bryant.

The guard was discussing the team’s recent screening of Steven Spielberg‘s Lincoln on Friday morning, and Kobe let it slip that some of his teammates might not have been paying all that much attention in history class.

Yikes.

For what it’s worth, Abraham Lincoln served as the 16th president of the United States during the Civil War, and was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth in 1865. Additionally, it appears that Bryant was joking.

What isn’t a joke, however, is the Lakers’ record. After a 0-3 start, Los Angeles is still 9-10 on the season.
