It was a long night for Brandon Moss and the Oakland Athletics.
After Moss hit a walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the 19th inning in a game that ended at 4:37 a.m. ET against the Angels, he was allowed the honors of pieing himself in the face. That was quickly followed by another pie from outfielder Josh Reddick and a Gatorade shower from third baseman Josh Donaldson.
The pies and Gatorade came midway through a question from the A’s broadcasters about whether it was difficult for Moss to hold his concentration through a six-hour, 32-minute game. After Moss quickly dried himself off and got his drenched headphones back on, he didn’t lose his concentration and continued with an answer.
