The Jets quarterback is not on the Seahawks’ radar, according to the Seattle Times. There were previous rumors that Seattle could be interested in Tebow because of the read-option looks the team incorporates.
The Seahawks are instead interested in Seneca Wallace, Tyler Thigpen, Brady Quinn and Matt Leinart to back up Russell Wilson. Seattle recently traded Matt Flynn to the Raiders. They’re left with just Josh Portis to play behind their second-year sensation.
It’s likely Tebow will be released or traded before the 2013 season begins. Quarterbacks Mark Sanchez, David Garrard, Greg McElroy and Matt Simms are also on the New York roster.
