Carolina Hurricanes Unveil New Jerseys With Strong Emphasis on Simplicity, Color Red (Photos)

Tuesday is a big day for NHL uniform geeks, as not one but two teams will unveil new looks. The first club to do so was the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday afternoon.

The Canes debuted their new look for all to see, and while it’s not an extreme change, the alterations are certainly noticeable. Most notably is the fact that the storm warning flag patches have been removed from the shoulders, the piping has been changed some, and the sweaters now feature a great deal of the color red.

As mentioned, the Hurricanes aren’t the only club about to make a change. The Dallas Stars are set to unveil new uniforms Tuesday night.
