When the playoffs began, Duncan Keith wasn’t even a father.
Keith’s wife gave birth to a baby boy, Colton, between Games 3 and 4 of the Chicago Blackhawks’ first-round series against the Minnesota Wild, making Keith a father for the first time. Of course, that playoff run ended with a Stanley Cup for Chicago on Monday night, so Keith celebrated in the most appropriate way possible.
Keith put a pair of headphones on his child and brought him down to the ice to revel in the glory at rink level. Keith even placed Colton in the Stanley Cup for a moment — which the infant didn’t seem to care too much for.
