Tim Tebow, Aaron Hernandez, William Green, Josh EvansIt was obvious that before long, this would all come back to Tim Tebow.

Tebow hosted Aaron Hernandez‘s visit at the University of Florida, according to RadarOnline.com. Hernandez was set to attend UConn, where his brother D.J. played quarterback, before he went down to Gainesville. Tebow tried to help Hernandez stay out of trouble at Florida, but they weren’t friendly off the field in the three years they were teammates with the Gators.

“They weren’t close at Florida,” Radar Online’s source said. “Tim obviously became the team’s leader but he came from a different world than Aaron.

“They didn’t hang out off the field. Sure, Tim tried to encourage him to live a good life, a religious life, just like he does with so many people.

“But after playing a huge role in convincing Aaron to come to Florida, Tebow lost any influence he had over Aaron, who quickly got into trouble.”

Hernandez and Tebow were teammates with the Patriots for just 16 days before Hernandez was arrested for his involvement in the murder of Odin Lloyd.
