The injury-plagued season continues for the Yankees.
In the second inning of Wednesday night’s game against the Blue Jays, Jayson Nix took a pitch from R.A. Dickey off his left hand. Nix trotted down to first base but exited the game after the next pitch.
Nix was then taken for X-rays, and it was revealed that the infielder had fractured his hand. The 30-year-old has seen time at short, second and third this year and was filling in on Wednesday for Alex Rodriguez, who was given the night off.
