Floyd Mayweather Jr. Says He’s Betting $300,000 on Johnny Manziel, Texas A&M This Weekend

The idea that Floyd Mayweather Jr. would bet $5.9 million on an NBA playoff game is ridiculous, the boxer says. The idea that he would drop 300 grand on a Texas A&M game, however, is not.

Mayweather was hyping the Aggies — or, more specifically, Johnny Manziel — on Wednesday when he went on Howard Stern‘s radio show. While Mayweather denied ever betting $5.9 million on Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals last year between the Heat and the Pacers, as was reported then, he did say he was going to peel off some bills to bet $300,000 on Manziel and A&M this Saturday when they play Arkansas.

“Johnny Football never has an off day,” he said, according to USA Today.

Mayweather had all sorts of gems in the interview (although much of the content is not suitable for all audiences, so be forewarned). He said he takes his coffee with four sugars, that he’s broken every record in boxing when asked if he was the greatest ever and that he carries $10,000 at all times. He also called rapper Lil Wayne “Little Wayne.”

Little Wayne, big bets — sounds like regular old Mayweather.
