Belichick praised the medical staff in his morning press conference on Friday when asked about a recent report that said the Patriots have “serious concerns” about the recovery of Gronkowski’s forearm.
“As it relates to our medical people, we have confidence in all of them. And they do a good job,” Belichick said.
The report said Gronkowski would likely be healed by now if the team had elected to forgo surgery and let his forearm heal on its own. A pin was placed in the broken bone that may have weakened the area.
It is unknown whether Gronkowski will return this week. He’ll have to be cleared by Dr. James Andrews.
