Irish Women’s Soccer League Player Stephanie Roche Scores Unbelievable Volleyed Goal (Video)

Of all the fantastic goals the soccer world saw this weekend, the best might have come from an unlikely place.

Stephanie Roche, a player on Peamount United of the Irish Women’s Soccer League, scored a simply fantastic goal Saturday in a league game against Wexford Youths. She performed a double-flick before swiveling and volleying her shot straight into the goal.

We don’t know much about Roche’s playing career, but her astonishing strike lends us to believe that she’s headed for the top of the sport.

Most fans and pundits are still purring over the superb team goal Jack Wilshire scored for Arsenal on Saturday, but they would be lying to themselves if they didn’t rank Roche’s goal alongside (or even above) it.
