Josh Reddick Gets Facial Hair Clipped by Daniel Bryan After Losing ‘Beard-Off’ to WWE Star (Video)

Those beards the Red Sox wore to World Series glory this year? They may have had the last laugh, but the trend actually started with a Boston ex-pat, Josh Reddick, whose whiskers have been highlighting Major League Baseball for some time.

Reddick’s beard received enough attention coming into this year that he became the target of a “beard-off” challenge with WWE star Daniel Bryan. The two agreed to grow their facial hair, with fans voting whose beard was superior.

Reddick ran into some snags once baseball season started. Fans didn’t necessarily love the look, and all the scruff eventually compelled him to trim some off. Sure enough, Bryan was declared the winner. The two met up recently for Bryan to take clippers to Reddick’s chin.

Bryan seems to be a pretty interesting guy — he may have won the beard-off, but the mellow Reddick may have better chances of long-term mental stability.
