Virginia DMV to Investigate Offensive Robert Griffin III License Plate on Car Driven by Cowboys Fan

For once, the Department of Motor Vehicles is acting promptly and swiftly.

A Redskins fan and Virginia driver alerted the Virginia DMV, the Washington Post and even the football team of a vehicle that was driving with an “F RG3” license plate.

The fan snapped a picture of the Robert Griffin III-themed vanity plate while driving on the highway, tweeted it to all three accounts and asked how the DMV allowed that to get through.

With no lines to wait in on Twitter, the DMV hopped on the case quickly, promising that they would investigate the situation.

While the driver could presumably feign innocence on the matter, the large Cowboys decal on the back of his car won’t do him any favors in the case.

So thank you, Washington fan-turned-hero in Virgina, for fighting vanity-plate crime and for getting RGIII a much-needed win — he’ll take them where he can get them.
