Chris Kelly, Dougie Hamilton Skate Before Bruins’ Game Monday

The Boston Bruins are still fighting their season-long war on injuries. Two of their injured players, however, continue to take positive steps.

Both forward Chris Kelly and defenseman Dougie Hamilton were skating Monday morning a few hours before the Bruins’ matchup with the Los Angeles Kings, according to ESPN.com’s Joe McDonald. The club, playing the second half of a back-to-back and facing a 3 p.m. puck drop Monday, did not have a morning skate. The two B’s were on the ice by themselves, getting their work in.

Kelly’s progression continues in his return from a fractured fibula, suffered Dec. 7 against the Pittsburgh Penguins. This isn’t the first time he’s been back on the ice. Kelly skated last week before practices, but he did not travel with the team on its two-game road trip in Dallas and Chicago.

Hamilton is back for the first time since suffering what was labeled a “mild concussion,” presumably during the Bruins’ win over the San Jose Sharks on Jan. 11. Hamilton has missed three games with the concussion.

The Bruins have lost 81 man games to injury over their last 19 games.
