Red Sox’s Tuesday White House Visit To Be Streamed Live On NESN.com

The Boston Red Sox will take their World Series celebration from Lansdowne Street to Pennsylvania Avenue when they travel to Washington D.C. to visit the White House.

The defending champions will be honored by President Barack Obama during a visit to the White House on Tuesday. The event will start at 11:30 a.m. and be streamed live on NESN.com.

Having some fun with the announcement, White House regional communications director Keith Maley broke the news on Twitter with a fun tie and a couple of good hashtags.

Along with President Obama, a Harvard Law alum, there are a number of White House staffers with New England ties. Pete Souza, a Massachusetts native, is the chief official White House photographer and attended at least one of the World Series games, where he could be spotted snapping pictures of the Red Sox, according to thehill.com. White House press secretary Jay Carney wore a Red Sox hat for his press briefing the day after the Sox clinched the title.
