U.S. Women’s Hockey Player Scores Incredible Trick Goal On Canadian Team (Video)

Women’s hockey star Annie Pankowski led North American Hockey Academy to a 3-2 victory over a Canadian hockey team this past weekend with an incredible goal.

Assisted by teammates Caroline Ross and Toni Miano, Pankowski scored on a trick play against the Notre Dame Hounds of Saskatchewan, Canada. Pankowski was one of the final two cuts for the U.S. Olympic women’s ice hockey team that lost to Canada in the final round of the 2014 Sochi Olympic hockey tournament.

The 19-year-old Stowe, Vt., native fired the shot after Miano faked a slap shot on a cross-ice pass from Ross. Notre Dame goaltender Samantha Ridgewall didn’t know what hit her. A day later, the NAHA squad went on to win the Junior Women’s Hockey League title.
