Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel and South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney will visit the Texans, who hold the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft, on Monday, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported. The Texans have a major void to fill at quarterback, with just Ryan Fitzpatrick, Case Keenum and T.J. Yates currently on their depth chart at the position.
The Texans are looking to trade out of the No. 1 overall pick, CBSSports.com’s Pete Prisco reported Monday, citing league rumblings. Prisco mentioned the Atlanta Falcons and Buffalo Bills as two teams that could be interested in taking Clowney, who teams are impressed with “as a person.” Prisco notes that Clowney has “come across as funny, playful and genuinely likeable” to NFL teams.
