BOSTON — Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask began what’s expected to be a busy trophy season on Saturday afternoon.
The B’s netminder, who is thought by many to be the NHL’s front-runner for the Vezina Trophy, picked up some hardware at the annual Bruins’ regular-season awards ceremony prior to the regular-season home finale against Buffalo. Rask was presented with the John Bucyk Award as the Bruins player who contributed most to charitable and community endeavors. Rask was also named the No. 1 star for the regular season.

Elizabeth Dufresne Trophy (Voted on by the Boston Chapter of the PHWA to the player who has been most outstanding in Bruins home games): David Krejci
John Bucyk Award (Given to the player who has contributed the most to charitable and community endeavors): Tuukka Rask
