New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter could have used his thunder buddy on Wednesday night.
The Yankees legend got a little spooked during the third inning when some inclement weather rolled through Wrigley Field in Chicago. The Yankees are in the Windy City for an interleague series to take on the Cubs, and things got a little hairy when it came to the weather during the Yankees’ eventual 4-2 win.
Jeter, who was walking back to second base after a foul ball, flinched as he saw a bolt of lightning strike in the distance. It’s a completely human reaction, but it’s a little more funny when it’s someone like Jeter who has made a living being cool under pressure.
