Gregg Popovich Stones TNT’s David Aldridge During Live Interview (Video)

After the first quarter of Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals, TNT courtside reporter David Aldridge asked San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich a fairly straightforward question.

Aldridge was met with 10 seconds of stone-cold silence.

Popovich clearly was not happy with his team’s start against the Oklahoma City Thunder — who led the Spurs 26-20 at the time — and decided to let his unblinking stare do the talking.

Pop finally cracked, but not before an act of desperation from Aldridge, who frantically reminded the Spurs coach that, yes, they were on live television and yes, he had to answer the question.

The whole interview was hilariously uncomfortable, but Popovich had good reason to be upset.

Led by a herculean effort from point guard Russell Westbrook — who joined Michael Jordan as the only other player to record 40 points, 10 assists and five rebounds in an NBA playoff game — the Thunder blew out San Antonio 105-92 for their second straight win to tie the series at 2-2.
