The Ivory Coast trailed Columbia 2-0 late in the second half of Thursday’s World Cup group stage game in Brazil when talented forward Gervinho dangled past multiple defenders and scored one of the best goals of the tournament.
The former Arsenal winger has scored or assisted on 67 percent of the Ivory Coast’s goals at this year’s World Cup.
This goal also made him the first Ivory Coast player ever to score in back-to-back World Cup games.
