Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Matt Joyce got two for the price of one Thursday night.
Before taking on the Houston Astros, the Rays took their normally scheduled batting practice using a pitching machine. But instead of just hitting the ball into the field of play, Joyce pulled off some wizardry that Harry Potter would have been proud of.

Joyce somehow found a way to hit the initial pitch off the batting screen and back into the machine to be pitched again. And the machine threw back a perfect strike. Incredible.
As for the game, Joyce went 1-for-4 with a double in the Rays’ 5-0 win. Tampa Bay can only hope that Joyce’s magic can help pull the Rays out of the American League East cellar.
