Anthony plans to visit the Houston Rockets, Dallas Mavericks and Chicago Bulls once free agency opens on July 1, league sources told ESPN.com’s Chris Broussard on Wednesday. There is no clear favorite to land Anthony as a free agent, ESPN.com reported.
The Knicks, who can offer Anthony $33 million more than any other team, are still in the mix, Broussard reported. The Los Angeles Lakers’ Kobe Bryant also plans to recruit Anthony to the City of Angels.
Anthony averaged 27.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game for the Knicks in 2013-14. He joined the Knicks via mid-season trade in 2011 after spending more than seven seasons with the Denver Nuggets.
