Their first move, however, will likely be hiring a new head coach.
According to reports, the Cavaliers have reached out to Mark Jackson about the vacant position. Cavaliers general manager David Griffin reportedly telephoned Jackson several days ago, ESPN’s Chris Broussard reports, citing sources.

No formal interview has been scheduled between the two sides yet. Cleveland has already brought in Alvin Gentry, Tyronn Lue, Lionel Hollins, Vinny Del Negro, Adrian Griffin and Mark Price to interview for the position.
Jackson coached the Golden State Warriors to a 121-109 record in three seasons before being fired two days after his team was eliminated, and is currently serving as an analyst for ESPN during the NBA Finals.
