Rex Ryan and the New York Jets got a kick out of an ordinary organized team activity at their practice facility in Florham Park, N.J., on Monday when Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal’s 2014 FIFA World Cup team finished up their fifth day of practice in New Jersey.
Ryan was joined by several assistant coaches and players like Nick Folk, Nick Bellore, David Nelson and a handful of others who got to spend some time with the Portuguese team.
Folk brought a pair of cleats, which a few members of Portugal’s team signed. Meanwhile, Nelson gave Ronaldo a couple of lessons in gripping and throwing a football. Finally, Bellore posted a picture of Ronaldo leaping vertically.. Maybe there’s a future in the NFL for the soccer star.

With the Portuguese in town, the Jets converted one of their practice fields into a soccer field. The conditions of the field drew praise from Portuguese Football Federation’s vice president, Humberto Coelho.
“The field is fantastic,” said Coelho, per ESPN. “For us, it’s very good. I hope in Brazil we have the same (quality of) field. It’s very important for the players. The quality of the pitch is amazing.”
