Yankees Draft Kenny Powers Lookalike In 14th Round Of MLB Draft (Photo)

Kenny Powers is headed to the New York Yankees. Sort of.

The Bronx Bombers drafted right-handed pitcher Sean Carley out of West Virginia with the 422nd pick in the MLB first-year player draft, and while there’s nothing remarkable about that, the fact that he looks incredibly similar to the fictional character played by Danny McBride in the HBO show “Eastbound & Down” certainly is noteworthy.

Unfortunately for everyone, Carley won’t bring the Powers look to the Yankees’ short-season Single-A affiliate when he reports to Staten Island next week. The pitcher told Florida Today’s John Torres that he’ll be ditching the facial hair and curly locks for the pros.

“I may not look like Kenny Powers when I begin in the minors,” he laughed, “but I guaranteed at some point he will make a return.”
