Sergio Garcia was looking to build off a solid first round at the Open Championship, but Round 2 got off to a rather inauspicious start for the Spanish golfer.
Garcia bogeyed the first hole to drop to 3-under, and he found himself in the rough on No. 2. That’s when he hit a potentially round-saving shot.
From about 150 yards out, Garcia sent a great shot screaming at the green. The shot landed on the green, started rolling toward the hole and eventually disappeared for a remarkable eagle.
Unfortunately for Garcia, though, he gave back a stroke on the next hole as he made bogey at the third.
