Warren Sapp made a lot of money over the course of his Hall of Fame NFL career. Apparently cash is a little tight these days.
The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders defensive lineman made headlines Tuesday when he and a few friends went to a sports bar in Hallandale, Fla., to take in the 2014 FIFA World Cup game between Team USA and Belgium.
When the check came, Sapp apparently wasn’t too pleased.

There have been many instances of fake tip hoaxes in the past, but Sapp felt the need to defend himself on Twitter after the incident and admitting to stiffing the waitress in the process.

Sapp supposedly was rankled by the waitress calling him and his friends “boys,” as his note on the receipt read, “Boys don’t tip!”
Unfortunately for Sapp, his decision to not tip his server is fairly childish itself. The 41-year-old filed for bankruptcy in April 2012, though, so he might have bigger issues.
