Mookie Betts Hits First Career Grand Slam At Tropicana Field (Video)

Mookie Betts is still trying to prove that he deserves a spot on the Boston Red Sox roster, and he made quite the case for himself Friday against the Tampa Bay Rays.

Betts was up with two outs and the bases loaded in the second inning when he launched a no-doubter over the left field wall on the second pitch he saw. It was his first career grand slam and his third home run of the season.

At 21 years old, Betts is the youngest Red Sox to hit a grand slam in almost exactly 49 years. Tony Conigliaro was 20 years old when he hit a grand salami on Aug. 24, 1965.
