Nationals Fans Incredibly Pumped For Jayson Werth Garden Gnome Giveway (Photos)

There are cool garden gnomes, and then there are the ones that the Washington Nationals are giving out Tuesday night before their game against the New York Mets.

The first 25,000 fans to arrive at Nationals Park will receive a Jayson Werth garden gnome, and it is glorious.

So glorious, in fact, that fans have been lined up since 2 p.m. to ensure they go home with arguably the best giveaway in recent baseball history.

The bearded little guy — complete with shades — even accompanied the team on their recent road trip, as documented by the club’s Instagram page. The Werth-gnome-mania has taken over Washington, with Fluffy Thoughts Bakery getting in on the action as well. The bakery, which has two stands at the stadium, created cookies to celebrate the momentous day.
