Neymar Scores Two Goals In First Game Since World Cup Injury (Videos)

The last time Neymar was on a soccer field, he had to be carried off after suffering a devastating back injury.

Neymar made his much-anticipated return to the pitch on Monday, and proved right away that he hasn’t lost a step.

Competing for the first time since the 2014 FIFA World Cup, Neymar scored two goals and added an assist while playing for Barcelona in a friendly against Mexican club team León.

The Brazilian star’s first goal came just twelve minutes into the match, as he calmly chipped the ball over the goalkeeper’s head.

His second tally is the one that will have fans talking, though, as he flashed some signature flair by depositing the ball into the net with a fancy back heel.

Neymar wasn’t the only big name making his return to the pitch on Monday. Luis Suarez, the Uruguayan striker who Barcelona recently acquired from FC Liverpool, entered the game for the first time since he was suspended by FIFA at the World Cup for biting a player during a match.

FIFA originally banned Suarez from all matches for four months but recently tweaked his suspension to allow him to participate in friendlies.

Barcelona went on to win easily, 6-0.
