Minnesota Wild backup goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov defeated some boredom Monday night the same way teenage girls do — by taking some selfies.
The always entertaining Bryz had some fun on the bench during the third period while Darcy Kuemper was busy between the pipes putting together a 32-save performance in the Wild’s 4-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Bryzgalov, whose in camp on a professional tryout, took some pretty phenomenal selfies with fans during the final 20 minutes of play.
According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, selfies with the eccentric goalie were so popular that fans formed a line during play, and ushers eventually had to put a stop to the madness.

Despite striking some poses, though, Bryzgalov was still all in on the game, as he tossed his stocking cap onto the ice after Jason Pominville completed the natural hat trick.
“What’s he think he’s a model?” Equipment manager Tony DaCosta joked after the game. “Then he starts waving them all down! Then he throws his (hat) on the ice when Pommer gets his hat trick. That’s our last one!”
Never change, Bryz.
