After the game, Sanders went on NFL Network’s “NFL Gameday Final,” and claimed that 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh has lost the team.
“(The players) want him out,” Sanders said. “They’re not on the same page. I really want to know if they’re really playing for their head coach. I’ve got a question with that. Are you really down with your head coach, San Francisco 49ers?”
ESPN analyst Trent Dilfer echoed Sanders’ sentiments during a radio interview Monday, saying the 49ers’ locker room has become “toxic.”
None of this sat well with Harbaugh, who obviously refuted the analysts’ remarks.
“I haven’t seen Trent or Deion around much,” Harbaugh said Monday. “Personally, I think that’s a bunch of crap.”
The 49ers lost back-to-back games after thumping the Dallas Cowboys in Week 1 and looked inconsistent at times Sunday despite their victory.
