Colorado won on a buzzer-beater when Daniel Briere scored in the last second, dropping the Bruins to 1-3-0 on the young season. Boston has lost three straight games in regulation, something it didn’t do at all during the 2013-14 campaign.
The Bruins will travel to Detroit for their next game — and the second one at Joe Louis Arena this season. It’s the first game of a back-to-back that includes a matchup in Montreal on Thursday.

12:05 p.m.: The Bruins aim to snap their first losing streak of the season Monday afternoon when they take on another struggling team in the Colorado Avalanche at TD Garden.
Boston has scored just three goals through three games, while the Avalanche have yet to find the back of the net after two losses to the Minnesota Wild by a combined score of 8-0.
The Bruins offense should receive a boost in the likely event that first-line center David Krejci returns to the lineup after missing the first three games with an undisclosed injury.
Bruins head coach Claude Julien said Monday morning that Krejci has been cleared to play.
Krejci led the team in scoring last season and would be a major upgrade at even-strength and the power play — a unit that’s converted on just one of its 10 chances so far.
