Simone Biles can do vault, the balance beam and the uneven bars, but she doesn’t do bees.
On Friday, the 17-year-old won her second consecutive all-around title at the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championship, but barely had time to celebrate her achievement on the medal podium before a bee started causing havoc.
After the three winners were presented with their medals and bouquets of flowers, “The Star-Spangled Banner” was played in Biles’ honor. Then, silver medalist Larisa Iordach pointed out a bee on Biles’ flowers. Biles tried to escape the bee as best she could.
While Biles is typically a pretty tough chick, she had a pretty valid reason for freaking out.
