Report: Texans ‘Frustrated’ With Ailing Top Pick Jadeveon Clowney
The rookie linebacker won’t play Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles as he battles an illness, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport. This news comes after Clowney missed the first six games of the season because of a knee injury he suffered in Week 1.
Rapoport also reported that the Texans are growing “frustrated” with Clowney.
“What they want is for him to start showing some maturity and learn to play though these some of these ailments,” Rapoport said on “NFL GameDay Morning,” via NFL.com. “As a source just mentioned to me, this is really the first time Clowney has faced any sort of injury adversity — didn’t really happen in college — and they want him to try to play through it in the NFL, but they’re frustrated with their No. 1 overall pick.”
Clowney returned to the field in Week 8, recording only one tackle in limited action during the Texans’ 30-16 win over the Tennessee Titans.
