Colin Kaepernick Shows Off Impressive Speed With 90-Yard Touchdown Run (Video)

Colin Kaepernick hasn’t had the best season. For a 10-second span Saturday night, though, he made everyone forget all that.

In the third quarter against San Diego Chargers, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback eluded a pass rush and took off downfield. Ninety yards later, he was in the end zone with the second-longest rushing touchdown by a QB in NFL history, trailing only Terrelle Pryor’s 93-yard score in 2013.

Kaepernick’s athletic talents have been somewhat lost in a trying season for the Niners, but his ability to blow past Chargers safety Eric Weddle and outrun the entire San Diego defense certainly served as a nice reminder.

Not only was Kaepernick’s mad dash impressive, it also came at a crucial time for San Francisco. The Niners quarterback fumbled inside his own 10-yard line just minutes earlier, and the Chargers recovered the ball in the end zone to cut the deficit to a touchdown.

Despite Kaepernick’s efforts, though, the Chargers came from behind to win in overtime.
