Panthers Coach Ron Rivera, Family OK After Two-Alarm Fire In Home (Photos)

To say Ron Rivera has had a stressful month or so would be a drastic understatement.

The Carolina Panthers head coach and his family are OK after a two-alarm fire broke out in their Charlotte home early Monday morning.

The relative good news is that, according to WBTV in Charlotte, the house was just “partially burned.” Despite that, the family “won’t be able to live there in the short term,” the Charlotte Fire Department said, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Rivera has already has plenty on his plate this week. The Panthers won their NFC Wild Card Game on Saturday and will have to travel to Seattle to play the Seahawks next week. The incident also comes a few weeks after Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was involved in a car crash in downtown Charlotte.
