The World Junior Championship is one of the most intense and most captivating events on the hockey schedule every year.
The tournament — which showcases the world’s best hockey players under the age of 20 — takes place around the holidays and gives the game’s best young players a stage to prove they have what it takes to develop into legitimate stars.
One of the most memorable tournaments came back in 2005 when there was a “who’s who” of current NHL stars doing battle for global bragging rights. The tournament’s leading scorer and MVP has gone on to enjoy a very successful NHL career.
Can you name that player?
