Brazilian Soccer Player Red Carded For Giving Own Fans Middle Finger (Video)

Fabricio is way too old for this kind of behavior.

Fabricio, a defender on Brazilian soccer club Internacional, was sent off Wednesday for giving his own team’s fans both his middle fingers during his team’s 1-0 win over Ypiranga Erechim in the Rio Grande do Sul state championship.

The goal-less game already was taking a turn toward ridiculousness when Fabricio erupted in the 63rd minute. Internacional fans had been taunting Fabricio (for reasons we do not know), and he responded with a spectacular meltdown.

Fabricio’s dismissal reduced host Internacional to nine players, but it still managed to beat 10-man Ypiranga Erechim.

Fabricio joined Internacional from Portuguesa in 2011 and has been a mainstay in the lineup since 2012. However, the 28-year-old’s two-finger salute has put his future with club in doubt.

Fabricio reportedly shouted, “I’m leaving,” as he walked off the field toward the tunnel.

Needless to say, we’ve seen better ways to say goodbye than this.
