Rangers’ Twitter Account Boycotting Capital Letters Ahead Of Capitals Series

The New York Rangers are giving their caps lock key a break as they prepare for their Stanley Cup playoff series against the Washington Capitals.

The Blueshirts’ Twitter account has stopped using capital letters ahead of the team’s second-round series against the Caps, and they’ve even gone so far as to lowercase their username and bio. Get it? It’s because, well, you get it.

The bad boys of grammar got things rolling immediately after Washington defeated the New York Islanders 2-1 in Game 7, setting up a meeting with the Presidents’ Trophy-winning Rangers.

But that was just the beginning.
