The verdict was handed down inside federal court and Tsarnaev will await sentencing. Regardless, it’s at least some closure for the victims and families affected by the actions of the 21-year-old and his brother. Tsarnaev’s brother, Tamerlan, was killed following a shootout with police just days after the ’13 Marathon.
With the tragedy back in the news, it’s worth revisiting the city and region’s response in the day’s following the bombings and subsequent manhunt. Those days, weeks and months were filled with sorrow and sadness, of course, but the events also helped bring Boston and its people together.
