The race for the playoffs is heating up and it continues Wednesday night in Washington when the Capitals host the Boston Bruins at Verizon Center.

The Capitals are aiming to secure the best possible playoff seed after already clinching a postseason berth, while the Bruins still are trying to earn a spot with their magic number at four.
