Julian Edelman Shows Support For Tom Brady By Changing Social Media Photos

It’s no secret Tom Brady and Julian Edelman are close.

The New England Patriots duo have only grown closer in recent seasons, so it should come as no surprise that Edelman’s got his quarterback’s back as Brady’s name is dragged through the mud everywhere outside of New England.

Brady was implicated Wednesday in the Wells Report, which concluded Brady at least had knowledge that Patriots employees were deflating game footballs. On Thursday, with the hot take vultures circling, Edelman used social media to support his pal. He did so by changing his Twitter avatar and Facebook profile picture to a “Brady 12” design.

Edelman raved about Brady in an April interview with ESPN the Magazine.

“He’s like a big brother,” Edelman told ESPN. “He taught me everything about how to be a professional.”

Edelman also literally declared his love for Brady following the AFC Championship Game.

“Tom Brady’s Tom Brady,” Edelman said succinctly. “He was a sixth-round draft pick, a lot of people passed up on him. He’s a Super Bowl champion, Super Bowl MVP, he’s been in a bunch of Super Bowls, and he could care less about all of that. He just cares about winning the next game. That’s our leader, and that’s why you have a guy like that leading us. He’s an unbelievable person, and I truly love that man. I do. It’s great to have him as part of this team.”
