Report: Former Bruin Rich Peverley Might Be Able To Resume NHL Career

Dallas Stars forward Rich Peverley hasn’t played in the NHL since he collapsed on the bench during a game in March 2014.

Fortunately for Peverley, who underwent heart surgery about a week after the incident, it appears a comeback might be possible if he wants to resume his career.

TSN’s Bob McKenzie shared the details Wednesday via Twitter.

If the veteran forward is cleared for hockey activities and attempts a comeback, it might not be with the Stars.

Peverley was acquired by Dallas from the Boston Bruins in July 2013 in a trade involving Tyler Seguin. He was a fan favorite during his two-plus seasons in Boston and played a key role in the Bruins’ 2011 Stanley Cup Final win over the Vancouver Canucks.
