Tiger Woods Bites Back After Reporter’s Trolling U.S. Open Question (Video)

Tiger Woods hasn’t won a major title since 2008, but he wasn’t lacking any confidence Tuesday during his pre-U.S. Open press conference.

According to The News Tribune, a reporter asked Woods why he still believes he can win a U.S. Open. The 14-time major winner took a moment to assess the situation and responded with some bravado.

Woods certainly is right, as he’s won the tournament in 2000, 2002 and most recently in 2008. A U.S. Open victory at Chambers Bay this week would place Woods just three shy of tying Jack Nicklaus’ record of 18 major wins.

U.S. Open coverage begins Thursday, and the group of Tiger, Rory McIlroy and Louis Oosthuizen will tee off at 2:28 ET.
