Shawn Johnson Gets Engaged After Throwing First Pitch At Cubs Game

As far as first pitches go, Shawn Johnson’s has to be one of the more memorable ones.

No, it’s not because she sailed one wide like 50 Cent or failed to make it anywhere close to home plate like Carly Rae Jepsen. Instead, the gymnast’s first pitch was memorable for what happened after the actual throw.

As the Olympic gold medalist walked off Wrigley Field after throwing first pitch at Friday’s afternoon Chicaco Cubs game, her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs long-snapper Andrew East, got down on one knee and proposed.

For those who are wondering, she said yes.

The Cubs went on to lose 5-3 to the Philadelphia Phillies, but this one will be remembered for what happened before the game.
