The Boston Red Sox just gave Ben Affleck the greatest birthday present.
Affleck, who is a big-time Red Sox fan, hadn’t seen his favorite team win on his birthday since “Good Will Hunting” came out in 1997. The Red Sox were 0-15 on Aug. 15 since the movie premiered.
That drought finally came to an end on Affleck’s 43rd birthday on Saturday, when Boston clobbered the Seattle Mariners 22-10 at Fenway Park. Finally, the curse of Ben Affleck’s birthday is over.

Affleck later weighed in on Twitter, thanking the team for breaking his birthday losing streak.
