Isaiah Thomas Soars To Reject 6-Foot-8 Trevor Ariza In Exhibition Game (Video)

If you’ve ever seen Isaiah Thomas play, you know not to be fooled by his diminutive stature.

Apparently, Trevor Ariza has yet to get that memo.

Thomas laced them up Friday night for the Seattle Pro-Am squad in an exhibition game against the Drew League, and it didn’t take long for him to provide one of the highlights of the summer.

Ariza drove baseline and elevated for what looked to be a slam dunk, but the Boston Celtics guard had other plans, showing off his amazing hops deny the Houston Rockets forward at the rim.

For the record, that’s 5-foot-9 Thomas blocking a dunk attempt from Ariza. Who is 6-foot-8.

Thomas has had quite the summer so far — he poured in 50 points during a showcase in July and went head-to-head with boxer Floyd Mayweather in a recent pickup game — but it quite literally will be hard to top this highlight-reel block.
