Report: Ronda Rousey To Star In Movie Based On Her Autobiography

Ronda Rousey apparently can’t get enough of the silver screen.

The UFC bantamweight champion, who retained her title in UFC 190 on Saturday with a 34-second knockout win over Bethe Correia, already has had roles in “The Expendables 3,” “Furious 7,” and the “Entourage” movie and is set to shoot action film “Mile 22.” And now, she’s adding a movie about her life to the list.

According to a report by Variety, Rousey will star in a movie based on her autobiography “My Fight/Your Fight.” Rousey wrote the book with her sister, Maria Burns Ortiz, and it was released this past spring.

Rousey’s latest project, however, likely is a long way away, as she’s expected to fight again this year before starting “Mile 22” in January. Mark Bomback is set to adapt the screenplay and serve as executive producer with Rousey and Mary Parent producing. Bomback’s most recent writing credits include “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes” and “The Wolverine,” while Parent produced “Godzilla,” “Noah” and “Pacific Rim.”
