Rory McIlroy Makes Incredible Save Out of Water At PGA Championship (Video)

Rory McIlroy put his injured ankle to the test early in the first round of the PGA Championship.

McIlroy’s return to competitive golf Thursday didn’t start well, with a bogey on the first hole at Whistling Straits. His troubles continued on the fifth when he hit his second shot into the water.

Luckily for McIlroy, playing partner Jordan Spieth noticed the ball was playable in the water hazard. However, that left McIlroy with a difficult decision.

McIlroy eventually decided to roll up one pant leg and make his way down into the hazard. What happened next is something you need to see for yourself.
